So I am woking on my unit plan and I am trying to create meaningful actives. I have making models, practicing punnet squares, and making your own dragon (that is my favorite) lesson. I also have a jigsaw activity that I am working on. I was just curious what you guys are doing to facilitate learning in less conventional ways?

I haven't came up with that many activities yet, but one activity I'm going to do is to have students make their own 2-3 minute short film of some kind to give students the opportunity to gain concrete experience. I also really want to do something involving graphic novels, but I'm a bit unsure if I'm being overly ambitious given that it is only four days. What is the focus of your unit plan if you don't mind me asking?

I haven't come up with my activities either, and it is surprisingly harder than I thought because I feel like this class really challenges us to be super creative and make it all work together. So far I know that i'm going to have my students do a jigsaw activity because I think that is a really great way to help them learn and teach each other.

I feel like your idea about making a dragon is awesome! Can't wait to hear about what that consists of and the literacy practices that go into making that a meaningful activity.
