So, I was finally able to start my field experience last week at the Ghazvini learning center and I really liked the experience! I was afraid of what was going to happen because I have heard stories of other people going and the students were not pleasant and the teacher did nothing to correct the students but I was in Mr. Johnson's class with all boy students and it was awesome! ALL of the students were super respectful and willing to do the work they were assigned! They LOVED receiving help and were not shy about asking for it! What is your experience for those other people at Ghazvini?

I am at Success in Ms. Johnson's class and I have really enjoyed my experience! I come in once a week and work with one student individually on assignments that they need to catch up with. I have worked with two different students over my time there and they are very grateful for the help and attention. They are so used to the depersonalized computer programs that when someone can sit besides them and actually explain the task in a different way, it makes a big difference. I found that one of my students was simply guessing their way through the edgenuity tests until I started working with them. Me taking the time to go through the answers with them gave them the patience to find the correct answer. We are all aware that the computer programs are flawed and are not the most productive platform for learning, but is is nice that we are valued at Ghazvini for the help we can give to their students!

I also got to go to Success recently and worked with a very positive student. I was impressed by his focus and motivation to get the task done. He was also patient when we stepped back and discussed the concepts rather than just racing through all the questions.
